I would really like to not make this a family tradition. I know way too many people who have had their teeth broken by doing something dumb...
OK, back story.
When I was about 11 or 12, my brothers and I snuck out to play in the snow when we were supposed to be going to bed. I had been mad at a friend so I thought it would be a good idea to get her back for whatever it was the she did. (I really have no idea.) SO we proceeded to stuff her mailbox with snow. ( I also, have no idea how this would even bother her, maybe the mailman... Anyway.) While holding the shovel full of snow my brother would push it into the mailbox. Well this is where things didn't go as planned. The snow slid off the end of the shovel and because I was holding it just right, I hit myself in the face with the snow shovel. Yes you read that right, I did it to myself.
Bigger problem... how do we sneak back into the house and tell mom what happened. Long story short, I have had problems with that tooth ever since.
Now for the current tooth situation...
Ryann and Hailee were playing in the basement, the unfinished, concrete basement. I don't actually know what happened except that they both came running up the stairs screaming and Ryann was covered in blood. I thought it was just a bloody nose from falling face first. Nope, she had a bloody nose plus she cut open her lip and her gums, she hit her chin really hard and broke her front tooth. Why did it have to be a permanent tooth? and in the front for that matter?
We got on the phone and facebook for a few references and got a hold of a dentist in no time. Gotta love that fancy tooth glue that they use. Well it was more than just glue, but either way, she was back together. Then we just had to wait for the swelling to go down and for the bruises and gums to heal.
Hooray, we got our happy , smiley Ryann back.
